Natural basis: firefly + complex bioluminescence

Communicates in sequences of flashes, imitates the signals of other night creatures, lights the way and can synchronize with thousands of its kin.

Origin

Competition among firefly species produced not a single signal but a whole “alphabet” of color, frequency and brightness.

A dark blue head and thorax, a round lantern abdomen with three color bands, two wing cases and two legs.

Enemies in a 3×3 area around the target: 80 damage, Marked for 4 s, lose Hidden.

Passive trait

Each new sequence of Light moves creates one of three minor effects: Marked, cleansing Disoriented or a Tempo boost for an ally.
