Ferromouse

Natural basis: house mouse + magnetite particles in its tissues

Role
ScoutEngineer

Builds an internal “compass” map of a room, finds hidden metal objects and never gets lost in identical tunnels and ventilation ducts.

Origin

In mazes of metal structures, a sense of direction became more important than long-range sight. The magnetosensitive structures in its body grew stronger.

Appearance

A graphite mouse with huge separate round ears, a silver stripe down its back, two large paws and a short, thick C-shaped tail.

Ferromouse — Front

Signature ability

Polar Push

100 damage (×1.5 against a shielded target) and −20 mana. A pair of Ferromice evolves into Voltrat.

Passive trait

Inner Compass

Once Ferromouse has studied an area of the map, it can no longer be Disoriented within it.

Moves

  • Magnetic Whisker

    Charge / Support

Detects hidden metal and active mechanisms.

  • Vent Run

    Instinct / Maneuver

Uses a narrow utility passage as a shortcut.

  • Polar Push

    Signature move

    Charge / Impulse

Shifts a small metal object or an armored target.

  • Room Map

    Instinct / Support

Gives the team a Tempo bonus on already scouted tiles.

Evolution

Line E-24: Urban Field

Ferromouse → Voltrat

Condition: life near powerful electrical grids.

Ferromouse’s magnetic navigation broadens into a more versatile electrical sensitivity. The body grows larger, the whiskers and individual hairs start working as field-detecting organs, and its behavior becomes more exploratory.
