Ferroslug
EV-126Evolved form

Ferroslug

Natural basis: the deep-sea “iron” snail Chrysomallon squamiferum

Role
BulwarkGuardian

Wears natural mineralized armor, lives beside extremely hot vents and gets much of its energy from chemosynthetic bacteria living inside it.

Origin

It took shape near hydrothermal vents, where iron and sulfur from the water began to build into the protective structures of its body.

Appearance

A compact iron snail with a low body, a small head on short eye stalks, a heavy three-colored shell and two thick front scoops.

Ferroslug — Front

Signature ability

Iron Scales

Self Fortified (+70) for 5 s and thorns dealing 30 damage with Staggered 0.8 s for 4 s; Ferroslug and allies within radius 1 gain shield 180 for 5 s.

Passive trait

Three-Layer Shell

Consecutive hits of the same type grow weaker until the attacking type changes; its different armor layers absorb repeated strain.

Moves

  • Iron Scales

    Signature move

    Shell / Support

Greatly raises Armor for a short time.

  • Sulfur Symbiosis

    Mineral / Support

Slowly recovers strength in a Toxin or Heat Field.

  • Heavy Trail

    Mineral / Field

Leaves a strip behind that slows light enemies.

  • Shell Rebound

    Shell / Reaction

Reflects part of weak contact damage.

Evolution

Line E-08: A Snail of Three Worlds

Fungislug is the base symbiotic form.

  • Fungislug → Ferroslug — the hydrothermal branch. The fungal partnership gives way to chemosynthetic bacteria, and the shell mineralizes with iron and sulfur.
  • Fungislug → Conduslug — the urban branch. Constant contact with metal salts makes the slime conductive, and the shell pattern takes on a distinctive mesh-like structure.
