Origin
It took shape near hydrothermal vents, where iron and sulfur from the water began to build into the protective structures of its body.
Appearance
A compact iron snail with a low body, a small head on short eye stalks, a heavy three-colored shell and two thick front scoops.
Signature ability
Iron Scales
Self Fortified (+70) for 5 s and thorns dealing 30 damage with Staggered 0.8 s for 4 s; Ferroslug and allies within radius 1 gain shield 180 for 5 s.
Passive trait
Three-Layer Shell
Consecutive hits of the same type grow weaker until the attacking type changes; its different armor layers absorb repeated strain.

Evolution
Line E-08: A Snail of Three Worlds
Fungislug is the base symbiotic form.
- Fungislug → Ferroslug — the hydrothermal branch. The fungal partnership gives way to chemosynthetic bacteria, and the shell mineralizes with iron and sulfur.
- Fungislug → Conduslug — the urban branch. Constant contact with metal salts makes the slime conductive, and the shell pattern takes on a distinctive mesh-like structure.
