A gray squirrel with huge cream cheek pouches, thick mitten paws and a short, wide tail with two dark rings.

Cachirrel → Maplewing → Furwing
Condition: a gradual move from park and ground caches to life high in the forest canopy.
Cachirrel first develops short, controlled glides and Maplewing’s forked tail. In the final form the gliding membrane stretches across almost the entire body, turning Furwing into a specialized long-distance glider.
