Vinemur

Natural basis: lemur + lianas

Role
DuelistController

Grips branches with its tail from far away, weaves temporary bridges out of young vines and senses movement through connected plants.

Origin

In the dense forest canopy leaping was risky, so Vinemur's ancestors began using plants as an extension of their own bodies. Over time, symbiotic fibers appeared in their skin.

Appearance

A large gray-green head with a dark mask, a small body, four big paws and a short, thick hook tail. The vine stripes are painted on.

Evolution

Line E-25: Arboreal Primate

Tarsix → Galagor → Vinemur

First evolution: leaping hunts strengthen the hind limbs and hearing, and the tail becomes an active counterbalance.

Second evolution: a permanent life in the dense canopy makes a grasping tail more valuable than a long leap. Plant partners settle on the skin, letting Vinemur use vines almost as an extension of its body.
