Origin
The species took shape in cold lakes where food was scarce and the water was dark. Glowing symbionts settled in its gills and, over time, became part of its body.
Appearance
A large turquoise head with two fixed pink-lilac gill crests, a small egg-shaped body, four big paws and a short paddle tail dotted with star spots.
Signature ability
Gill Reserve
Heals the most wounded ally for 180; for 270 if that ally is below 50% HP.
Passive trait
Regenerative Glow
After a negative condition is removed or it receives healing, Axolume briefly boosts the Adaptation of the ally with the lowest Vitality.
Moves

Moonlit Splash
Light / Impulse
A ring of glowing water deals damage and strips Stealth.

Gill Reserve

Flow / Support
Restores some strength to itself or an ally; stronger after recently taking damage.

A dash that leaves a shimmering trail; raises Tempo and makes counterattacks harder.

Quiet Backwater
Flow / Field
Creates a damp zone where gradual healing is stronger and Heat effects are weaker.
Evolution
Line E-01: Amphibian Adaptation
Axolume is the base form.
- Axolume → Magmander — the geothermal branch. A long life near hot springs and mineral-rich water turns the glowing gills into heat-exchange organs; the skin darkens and becomes heat-resistant.
- Axolume → Olmurk — the cave branch. In cold, total darkness the body lengthens, eyesight fades, and chemical sensing and energy saving matter more than bright bioluminescence.
Axolume is one of the key showcases of the Evolumes idea: a single starting biology can yield opposite forms under the pressure of its environment.
